Manchester City's hopes of a treble were shattered in dramatic fashion as Real Madrid produced a stunning comeback to win 4-3 on penalties in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
Pep Guardiola's side led 1-0 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate going into the final minutes of extra-time, but Rodrygo's quickfire double forced the game to a penalty shootout.
City missed three of their five spot-kicks, with Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan all failing to convert, allowing Real to progress to the final.
The result means that City will now have to console themselves with winning the Premier League and FA Cup this season, while Real will face Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris on May 28.
