Curry's Three-Pointer Barrage Lifts US to Victory
Steph Curry's late-game barrage of three-pointers led Team USA to a thrilling victory over France in the men's basketball gold medal game at the Tokyo Olympics.
With the game tied at 78-78 with just over two minutes remaining, Curry drained a three-pointer to give the United States a 81-78 lead. He then added another three-pointer just seconds later to extend the lead to 84-78. France was unable to recover, and Team USA held on to win 90-87, securing their fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal.
Curry finished the game with 29 points, including 8-of-12 from three-point range. He was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
"It's an incredible feeling," said Curry after the game. "To be able to represent your country and win a gold medal is something that I'll never forget."
